Gold vermeil, on the other hand, always has a sterling silver base and a noticeably thicker gold layer — making it more durable and skin-friendly.
How long does gold vermeil jewellery last?
With proper care, gold vermeil lasts several years. Its lifespan depends on how often the jewellery is worn and how it comes into contact with sweat, perfume, and chemicals. However, compared to lower cost gold-plated jewellery, it is noticeably more durable.
