Gold Vermeil is a particularly high-quality form of gold plating: a thick layer of 18K gold (at least 2.5 microns) is applied over a base of genuine 925 sterling silver – significantly thicker and more durable than standard gold-plated jewelry. In order to maintain the beautiful shine of your jewellery, it is important to clean it properly every few weeks. In general: avoid contact with liquids, perfumes and lotions or chemical cleaning agents. Ideally, do not wear the jewellery while showering or exercising. Store the jewellery separately from other pieces of jewellery to avoid oxidation, reactions with other metals and scratches

• Carefully clean the jewellery in a mild soapy bath either with your hands or with a soft toothbrush, then dry well.

• Alternatively, carefully polish the jewellery with a special jewelry polishing cloth.
